ONA I ONA Architecture + Design, a Nicosia-based architectural studio founded in 2017 by Laoura Maria Fotiou and Eleni Flouri, undertakes a wide variety of project types and scales. Our diverse and growing portfolio includes urban design, new buildings, renovations of existing structures, interior design commissions, temporary installations, and object design. Each of our unique projects aims to deliver a positive impact on the people who use them, reflecting innovative architectural solutions based on bioclimatic design, sustainability, functionality, aesthetic appeal and economy. By engaging in an unbroken dialogue with their surroundings and responding to our client’s changing needs, our designs aim to deliver a truly bespoke result.

Eleni Flouri graduated from Leicester Medical School UK in 2005, obtaining an MbChB degree in medicine. After practicing medicine for over two years, Eleni took the decision to follow her dream to work as an architect. In 2013 she obtained a degree in Architecture from Frederick University in Nicosia. Following her successful graduation she gained experience by working on a wide variety of projects, including housing, office space design, renovations etc, and through various collaborations has received awards in a number of competitions. She has also participated in the design and creation of a number of architectural installations. Eleni co-organised a number of educational summer workshops for architectural students.

Laoura Maria Fotiou is a graduate of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Following her successful graduation she practiced architecture in Athens, working in close collaboration with her professors (Nelly Marda, Ariadni Vozani) and other practicing professionals. During this period she gained invaluable experience in various projects of multidisciplinary context (Installations and Events). She has participated and has been awarded in a number of architectural competitions. She returned to Cyprus in 2012 where she began working within the tourism industry, focusing on hospitality and retail design, as well as project supervision. In 2017 she cofounded Ona I Ona Architecture and Design Studio with Eleni Flouri.
